The
Santa Maria Golf Course and Clubhouse is located between
Old Perkins Road and Airline Highway at the parish
line. On the east side, it borders Bayou Manchac and
BREC's Airline Highway Park.
Designed
by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the course is built on
150 acres of rolling terrain, featuring 12 lakes and
two natural waterways. Sand and grass bunkers, exquisite
Bermuda fairways and ancient oaks provide the perfect
setting for a memorable test of your golfing skill.
The
18-hole course measures 7,051 yards in length from
the championship tees. The golf experience at Santa
Maria is equal to or surpasses local private courses.
The 2-story Spanish-style
clubhouse includes a pro shop, a full-service restaurant
and a private conference/dining room and a fitness
center. The restaurant and veranda overlook the beautiful
18th green.
