We had a customer from another state come in looking for a unique charm for her bracelet to commemorate her visit to Louisiana for a Mardi Gras ball she would be attending. We made her what we call our "Parti Gras Crawfish". She loved it and wrote this little poem for the program of the ball:

Away down south in Lous-i-ann You’ll find a festive, jazzy land; Of Mardi Gras and "Second Line" Down there it’s always party time. People chanting what they wish fer: "Won’t you throw me something Mister?" Krew’s masked paraders throwing gifts Into the crowds from opened fists. You know that happy fest-for-all But do you know a crawfish boil? Those tasty "mudbugs" cooked with spice That Cajuns sometimes serve with rice? Oh, it’s a shame this bug must die For he’s a real party guy: He grips champagne in sturdy claw As he enjoys his Parti Gras. By Ellen DePierri
